Flexible giving, real impact
PawPal was created for those who want to support animal welfare but struggle to find the right opportunities.
Whether through volunteering or donations, the app makes giving back effortless, connecting you with causes that fit your schedule, budget, and passion.
With real stories and community impact at its core, PawPal ensures your support makes a tangible difference.

What challenges were users facing?
Flexibility: Busy individuals want to give back but feel overwhelmed by too many options. They need a streamlined, time-efficient solution that curates opportunities to fit their schedule and budget, making giving effortless.
Impact: What people truly seek is simplicity and clarity. They want to see the impact of their support through meaningful stories, real people and visible progress in the projects they choose to support.
What design process did i follow?
I followed the Double Diamond process, focusing on Discovery and Delivery. Design isn’t linear - it requires revisiting ideas, refining concepts, and continuous user testing to ensure solutions truly meet user needs.
Discovery phase:
Before designing anything, I needed to understand my users - their behaviours, needs, and frustrations. This stage was all about gathering insights, validating assumptions. The key processes I followed included:
Secondary research
User interviews (1:1 and unmoderated)
Qualitative research
Affinity mapping
Competitive & comparative analysis
User personas
Card sorting & information architecture
First round of user testing (PoC)
Second iteration of information architecture
Delivery stage:
Once I had a clear understanding of the problem, it was time to design solutions and test them iteratively. The key processes I followed during the delivery phase were:
User flows
Design system
High-fidelity prototype
Final user testing (on prototype)
